Upcoming Training (T19)
All modules (A, 1-8) will meet in person at Sane Living Center in downtown Ojai, CA, (online/hybrid available only in unusal circumstances such as world crises/lockdowns) The main training teachers are Mary Jackson and Tara Blasco who will teach 3 modules together and each will teach 3 modules with a teacher-in-training.

Mary Jackson, RN, LM, RCST®
Mary began as a home birth midwife in 1975, as a part of the trailblazing movement to bring home birth back into the mainstream in the US. She was a primary collaborator with Ray for almost 20 years through ‘About Connections’ work with families and co-facilitating and teaching. She brings to the work a deep understanding of preparation for conception and birth, birth facilitation, bonding & attachment, the ‘Circle of Security.’
Mary has been married since 1987 and is the mother of 2 children who were born at home. She attended over 2,500 births in the Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Ojai, California areas including the home births of her second generation of babies. In the first year after incorporating these pre and perinatal approaches in her midwifery practice her home to hospital transfer rate went from 20% to 6 %.
She is an approved Castellino Womb Surround Facilitator and co-teaches the Castellino Pre and Perinatal Foundation Training (in Ojai, CA & in Spain), the Family Practitioner Training, the Sequencing workshop and Supervision groups for graduates. She is SE trained, a certificed craniosacral therapist (BCST) and is trained in Circle of Security. She has offered womb surrounds in 10 countries. She is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and has led workshops and trainings throughout the world.
Tara Blasco, Ph.D, RCST®
Tara Blasco has a Ph.D in prenatal and perinatal psychology from the Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, and has worked at the BEBA clinic since 2001. She is the current director of BEBA (Building and Enhancing Bonding and Attachment) and was the co-director with Ray Castellino until he passed in Dec 2020. She is the in-person facilitator for families at the Ojai BEBA clinic and offers online sessions as well as offering a mentoring program for graduates which she developed in the BEBA-style approach. She co-authored and coordinated the writing & publication of BEBA’s book: Supporting Families to Integrate their Birth Experiences.
Tara is a certified craniosacral therapist. She is an approved Castellino Womb Surround Facilitator and co-teaches the Castellino Pre and Perinatal Foundation Training (in Ojai, CA & in Spain), the Family Practitioner Training, the Sequencing workshop and Supervision groups for graduates. She coordinates a team that organizes the Spain Foundation Trainings. She also brings her organizational skills to the continuation of Castellino Training. She is the co-director with her husband Lyn Hebenstreit, of the non-profit organization Global Resource Alliance dedicated to supporting orphans and the families who take them in by bringing wells, permaculture organic gardens, tree planting, herbs, educational support and more to communities in the Mara region of Tanzania.
Sarah D. Theismann, MA, CMP, SEP, CSB
Sarah studied closely with Dr. Ray Castellino during the last decade of his life, co-facilitating Womb Surrounds with him internationally and assisting his trainings, including the Foundation Training, Body Into Being, and the Family Practitioner Training. She has been leading Womb Surrounds since 2013 and is an Approved Womb Surround Facilitator. Sarah teaches internationally at the intersection of Pre & Perinatal Psychology (PPN), relationships, and embodiment of consciousness, and is a BEBA facilitator. She is also a published writer on PPN Psychology.
Sarah holds an MA in PPN Psychology from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute and has been a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner since 2012. She is also a certified bodyworker and sex coach, trained in Movement Based Expressive Arts Therapy, and holds a BFA in Studio Arts. She brings that creativity to her work with families, couples, and individuals, and to her teaching. Alongside her clinical training, Sarah has a deep background in consciousness studies and a lifelong passion for spiritual practice. She brings this to her understanding of how consciousness arrives and embodies in the earliest stages of life, and how that shapes our capacity for connection. In her work with couples, she specializes in sexual intimacy, believing that a strong couple relationship gives children a secure base and the whole family a happier home. Above all, Sarah is committed to her clients and students living fulfilling, free, and aligned lives.
Frank Carbone, RCST®
Frank Carbone is a Continuum teacher who worked extensively with Ray Castellino assisting and co-facilitating womb surrounds. From this experience, Frank developed Womb Continuum, a therapeutic approach that integrates principles from Continuum Movement and prenatal and perinatal psychology to facilitate deep somatic healing and reconnection with one’s original blueprint of being. Frank worked in the BEBA clinic, assisted Foundation Training T13 and T17 and is a Castellino Training approved Womb Surround Facilitator and Family Practitioner.
Adriana Mascolli, MBA, AMFT, SE
Adriana is a relational somatic psychotherapist, group facilitator, leadership faculty and executive coach with decades of experience working with individuals and groups in organizations and communities. Her passion is to support individuals to become more present – living more intentionally and consciously – and experiencing authentic and relational connection with others and in community.
She is a Womb Surround Facilitator and a graduate of the T14 Castellino Pre and Perinatal Foundation Training in Spain. She assisted in the T15 and T16 cohorts. She is trained in modalities like Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, Systemic Constellations Principles, Subtle Energy and Internal Family Systems. She is a leading assistant in Thomas Hubl’s program, the Timeless Wisdom Training. She is a 200 hrs trained yoga teacher.
Adriana is married and the mother of 2 children who are now young adults. She is Brazilian and an immigrant into the United States. She speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
Take a Womb Surround from an approved Facilitator with at least 4 participants or take a Sequencing Workshop.

APPLICATION INTERVIEWS are available with Mary and Tara by appointment for those who have completed the full application process which consists of submitting:
- A COLOR PHOTO that has strong enough resolution to crop to a headshot
- AN APPLICATION FORM (with information)
- A WOMB SURROUND FORM. If you don’t have a form you already filled in to take a womb surround, download and fill in the Womb Surround Form in WORD or RTF format
- APPLICATION FEE: $105

Student Contract for T19
Please read this before applying.Please download the T19 Student Contract for all information about timing, location, commitment required, payment due dates, late fees, course material, confidentiality, videotaping, making up missed work, etc. For those who have received notification of acceptance into the training, please download the student contract in PDF.
You can sign it digitally using Acrobat, OR print the last page of the pdf, sign it and snail mail it or scan and email it to sandra@castellinotraining.com. We do NOT receive faxes. This must be received by the due date for the first deposit (3 weeks after acceptance) or mailed 5 days before it is due along with the deposit via Zelle, check/PayPal to complete registration.
Costs for the T19 Foundation Training
The deposit is in 2 sections: a non-refundable deposit will hold your place, then a larger deposit due in March 2027. Then 9 payments are due 5 weeks before each module: Module A and Modules 1-8.
There is a price break for paying by Zelle, check, cash, money order rather than by Paypal. Check /money order payments are considered on time if they originate by 5 days before the due date OR are received by the due date. Originate means initiate wires, postmark (mail) checks, Money Orders
How to Pay
All payments for the training itself, once accepted, will be sent to Sandra Castellino: Payments by Zelle or PayPal are sent to sandra(@castellinotraining.com, Payments by check, cashiers check or Money Order, make out to Castellino Training, Corp, mail to 1105 N Ontare Road, Santa Barbara, CA 93105. The first deposit which holds your place is due 3 weeks after final acceptance. A 2nd deposit is due in March 2027. Then payments for the Modules are due 5 weeks in advance of the first day of the module. Checks should be postmarked 6 days (7 days if from out of the USA) before the due date to be considered on time. Late fees apply.
Other Costs The Student is responsible for transportation and lodging. The only required cost besides tuition is purchasing a specific doll and pelvic model for about $250 for module 3. This will be available through Castellino Training which will be less expensive for students than buying direct due to the reduced cost of bulk shipping.
